We understand that for many children, going to the dentist can be an intimidating experience, so we strive to keep our office environment inviting, friendly and calm. We will work at your child's pace and are happy to take breaks if they are feeling overwhelmed. We also explain each step of the process as it's happening.
Babies should first see a dentist after they reach six months old, or at least by their first birthday. By this time, baby's first (primary) teeth are starting to erupt. This marks a critical time for the dentist to catch any problems before they develop into big concerns.

Visiting the dentist for regular exams and cleanings when your child is young will help preserve the primary teeth until they are ready to fall out and be replaced by the permanent teeth. During each appointment, we will review proper oral hygiene techniques to help your child's smile get the proper care at home.
If your child is at risk of decay, develops a cavity, or is experiencing misalignment issues, your dentist may also recommend restorative treatments such as dental fillings and mouth guards.
