Services
At Peachland Dental, we offer a comprehensive range of restorative dental services such as bridges, crowns, dentures and fillings. Our dentists in the Okanagan Valley take pride in helping to restore your smile.
Any procedure that aims to restore your smile's normal function and appearance is classified as restorative dental care.
Our dentists can help restore your smile – and your oral health – by fixing structural issues such as missing or damaged teeth.
Depending on your issue, our dentists at Peachland Dental can determine which restorative treatment option is right for you.
Our dentists use the purified protein Botox® to help treat headaches and jaw pain, and to provide relief from clenching and grinding. when injected into the facial muscles, the protein releases neurotoxins, preventing the muscles from contracting them and helping them to relax.
Cosmetically, Botox is often used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, including crow's feet, frown lines, lip lines, and fine lines. As part of your cosmetic dental care, our dentists are qualified to provide Botox treatments.
Bridges are custom-made, natural-looking tooth replacements. Barely noticeable, they can restore the natural shape of teeth and the bite between upper and lower teeth. Your dentist can bond bridges to your dental implants or existing teeth to replace a section of missing teeth.
Crowns are porcelain caps your dentist places on top of teeth to restore their appearance and function. They can cover dental implants, prevent a cracked tooth from worsening, attach bridges or help restore a stained or discoloured tooth.
These artificial teeth can replace one missing tooth or several consecutive teeth (partial dentures). Full dentures may be used to replace an entire jaw of missing teeth. These allow patients who are missing teeth to maintain their facial structure, and to speak and chew properly.
During a root canal procedure, your dentist removes diseased nerves, tissues and blood vessels from inside your tooth. By removing decay and bacteria, your dentist can help prevent infection from spreading. Plus, the tooth will not need to be extracted, saving you from needing another dental procedure.
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings that are custom-made in a dental laboratory. They are used to fix cavities when teeth are too badly damaged for a standard dental filling. Once inlays or onlays are made, we permanently cement them to the teeth as a single piece.
At Peachland Dental, both composite (tooth-coloured) and amalgam fillings to repair tooth damage such as a crack or cavity. While composite fillings can withstand moderate pressure due to the continual stress of chewing and can be used on front and back teeth, amalgam fillings made of silver are more economical.
